Norman Leo Godbey Jr., age 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on November 16, 2025.

Born on October 28, 1955, in Herlong, California, Norman was the son of Mary Pittman and Norman Godbey Sr. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering studies at the University of Arkansas.

Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army. After completing his service, he went on to build a fulfilling career as an engineer, known for his dedication, problem-solving spirit, and steady leadership.

On July 7, 2006, Norman married the love of his life, Nhu Quynh Godbey, in Fort Smith. Together, they built a warm and loving home, raising their two sons, Luke and Matthew.

Norman was a man who embraced the outdoors. Whether cheering for his favorite football teams or spending time outside, he found joy in simple moments and the beauty of nature. His faith was a significant part of his life, and he was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Norman Godbey Sr.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Nhu Quynh Godbey; his two sons, Luke and Matthew; and his siblings, Laurie and Joy. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him as a proud husband, a loving father, and a man of strong character.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
