Linda Marie Bays

Linda Marie Bays, 76, of Fort Smith, AR formerly of Clovis, CA, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born on September 9, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late John Marks and Mary Rose Brutto Marks. Linda retired from Selma-Kingsburg-Fowler Sanitation District, where she worked in the secretarial pool. She was of the Catholic faith. Linda lived for her children and grandchildren, she loved arts and crafts, and she made gifts for family and friends for the holidays. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis L. Bays and a sister, Saundra Page. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Price and her husband John, of Prather, CA, her son, Christopher W. Bays and his wife Dana, of Fort Smith, and a brother, Johnny J. Marks of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren (and one on the way), and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #1 Fort Smith, 12912 Tuscany Street, Fort Smith, AR 72916.
