Jerldeen Essman

Jerldeen Essman, 83 of Alma passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Essman; a daughter, Teresa Grimmett; a sister Freda Lauwers; a brother, Johnny Graham.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Apostolic Faith Church in Van Buren with burial at Jenny Lind Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. The family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Ocker Memorial Chapel 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Fowler and husband Tony of Alma; two sons, Troy Fittin of Lowell, Donald Fittin and wife Cindy of Van Buren; her son-in-law, Mickey Grimmett; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; two nieces, Terrina Lawson and Carrie Hattabaugh; a great niece, Sasha Lawson.

Pallbearers will be Skylar Fowler, Shawn Fowler, Bryan Fittin, Alicia Fittin, Matthew McCarville and Andrew Rish.
