Janice Evon Spain

Janice Evon Spain, 79, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in her home. She was born September 29, 1946 in England, Arkansas to Orville Paul and Sadie Marie (Lynch) Emberton. Janice was retired from Baldor.

Janice is survived by one son, David Spain and wife, Norma; one brother, Ronald Okazaki; one sister, Kathy Bell and husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Rocky McGee, Brittni Burham and husband, Dylan, Hanna Smith and Matthew Elliott and wife, Jennifer and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eugene “Gene” Spain; daughter, Charolette Spain; three brothers, Orville, Alvie and Calvin Wade Emberton; three sisters, Paulette Panis, Marie Spain and Carolyn Ford and a grandson, Nick Elliott.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 2 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Huntington Cemetery. Viewing will be begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday before the service.
