Floyd Ray Cossey

Floyd Ray Cossey, 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 in a local hospital. He was born on January 22, 1943 in Waldron, Arkansas to Floyd and Bessie (Ismon) Cossey. Floyd was a self-employed truck driver and an avid Razorback fan. He was of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Don, Leroy and Bill Cossey.

He is survived by three sons, Greg Cossey of Fort Smith, Mike Cossey and his wife Sharon of Dallas, TX and Jimmy Cossey and his wife Trish of Fort Smith; four sisters, Sara Shaw, Dora Rhyne, Jean Brigance and Wanda Fields; two brothers, Jerry and Charles Cossey both of Greenwood, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Michael Cossey and Jennifer Phillips and five great grandchildren, Tommy, Noah, Ian and Audrey Phillips and Parker Cossey.

Mr. Cossey will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Cremation is under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
