Don Griffin

Don Griffin, 77, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1948, in Fort Smith to the late Henry A. Griffin, Jr. and Pearl Dilley Griffin. Don was a retired Civil Engineer for the Arkansas State Highway Department. He was involved in with the Arkansas State Highway department (ARDOT), as he was president of the D4 retiree association and instrumental in starting the NWA group. He was a member of Westark Church of Christ. Don was a good father, brother and grandpa. He loved the outdoors. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his son, Nathan Griffin.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosa Carolyn, of the home; his daughter, Courtney Griffin of Fort Smith; a sister, Letha Griffin Tilley and her husband R. Bryan Tilley, of Quitman, AR; a brother, James Ray Griffin of Portland, Maine, and a grandchild, Riley Griffin of Greenwood.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, October 27, 2025, at Westark Church of Christ. Private Interment will be at Srygley Cemetery in Coal Hill, AR.
