Raymond Ray Seratt

Raymond Ray Seratt, 88, of Chester, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at a local hospital. He proudly served as a supervisor and engineer with Baldor Motor for 38 years.

Born on September 20, 1937, in Chester, Raymond was the son of the late Clarence and Rosie (Pace) Seratt. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helen June (Friddle) Seratt; his brothers, Kenneth Dale and William Seratt; his sister, Stella Mae Easter; his grandson, Raymond Dale Seratt and his son in law, Ryan Kyle Sorensen.

Raymond had a lifelong love of the outdoors—whether he was fishing, hunting, tending his cattle, working in his garden, or cutting and selling wood. His greatest joy came from giving his great-grandchildren rides on his 4-wheeler, their laughter always bringing a smile to his face. He also enjoyed trying his luck at the slot machines and spending time with his loyal fur babies, who were never far from his side.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Ocker Chapel of Alma with Aaron Cristee officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2025, at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy 64 E., Alma, AR 72921. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Barbara Gail Lovett and husband Steve of Mountainburg, Tina Sorensen of Alma, and Brenda Lane of Mountainburg; his sons, Marty Seratt and wife Leandra of Lander, Wyoming, Ricky Seratt and wife Sharon of Avoca, New York, and Jimmy Ray Seratt and wife Melissa of Chester; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; his sister, Beulah Watkins; brother, James Seratt; and sister-in-law, Linda Seratt.
