Patricia J. (P.J.) McAllister – Turnbeaugh

Patricia J. (P.J.) McAllister – Turnbeaugh, 87, of Fort smith, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 in her home. P.J. was born on November 6, 1937 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to J. Henry (J. Bob) and Nannie Pearl (Lasatar) Williams.

P.J. was retired from Midsouth Dredging where she served as the company executive secretary, and even had the company tug boat named for her, the “P.J. McAllister”.

She adored and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they all dearly loved their “Grandma”, “Grandma Pat” and “GiGi”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Michaeleen Moffitt, Becky Margaritis; her partner in the home Bryan D. “Bud” McAllister; her husband Frank Turnbeaugh.

She is survived by a son Doug McAllister and his wife Tina of Van Buren; a daughter Kelly Wehunt and her husband Steve of Fort Smith; two sisters Nancy Brewer of Fort Smith, Phyllis Reynolds and her husband Don of Winter Garden, Florida; Five Grandchildren Ashley Kimbrow and her husband Jason, Jay McAllister and his wife Corbi, Taylor Wehunt and his wife Maddie; Spencer and Parker Wehunt; six great grandchildren McAllister (Mac) Pierce, Eve and Knox Kimbrow, Crew McAllister and Lucas Wehunt.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
