Mary Lou Lopez

Mary Lou Lopez, 81, of Arkoma, OK passed away on Monday September 1, 2025 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born November 26, 1943 in Farmington, MI to Arthur and Mary Mae (Schultz) McClelland. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Kaygen Torres, grandson Angel Vargas and siblings Florence, Joanne, Wanda, Janet, Floyd, Ronnie and Everette.

She is survived by two daughters, Threase Vargas and her husband Salvador of Arkoma and Marlene Tristan and partner Jen Roskopf of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Ruben Lopez of Fort Smith; one daughter in law Maria Lopez of Fort Smith; twelve grandchildren Rebecca Zinamon, Joanna Martinez, Salomon Torres, Anthony Torres, Teresa Vargas, Salvador Vargas, Isabella Vargas, Julian Hernandez, Salvador Lopez, Jovan Tristan, Justine Camacho, Sierra Camacho, twenty-five great-grandchildren Jose, Beatrice, Jesus, Carlos and Jaqueline Rodriguez, Salvador Torres, Victor Rodriguez, Alex, Alicia, and Mickey Martinez, Jasmine and Mireya Torres, Xylee, Xaylor and Bronx Torres , Angel, Julian Jr, and Anabella Hernandez , Matthew, Liliana, Ezekiel and Liam Tristan, Nolan Swainston , Elliot and Solana Saldana and two great-great-grandchildren Adrian Rodriguez, and Elias Bolton and her faithful companion Mittens.

Viewing and visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home 4500 Jenny Lind Road Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 6, 2025 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home with burial of cremains in Woodlawn Cemetery.
