Leonard G. Warden III, 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born on September 12, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Leonard and Ruby (Nunnery) Warden Jr.
Leonard was a respected CPA and self-employed accountant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and a proud member of Central Presbyterian Church and the Noon Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Warden of the home; his daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Warden Ware and her husband Tom of Fort Smith; his son, Leonard “Chip” Warden IV and his wife Sheilah Brady of Kansas City, Missouri; and his sister, Janet Gatewood of Memphis, Tennessee. Leonard was a grandfather to Anthony Ware (Allison Sbanotto) of Fort Smith, Caitlin Ware (Charlie Mills) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Elizabeth Ware of Watkinsville, Georgia, as well as a proud great-grandfather to Philip and Stella Ware. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Warden Nichols of West Memphis, AR.
Cremation is under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. A memorial service will be Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2 o’clock at Central Presbyterian Church 2901 Rogers Ave. Fort Smith, AR.

The Family would like to thank Area Agency on Aging Hospice and Home Instead for their services. They were a blessing to the family over the past months.
