John Raymond Jones

John Raymond Jones, 81, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home. He was born February 20, 1944 in Yakima., Washington. John was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Vera Page and 6 siblings.

John loved to play country and gospel music on his electric guitar. You could hear him play at church, nursing homes and local music venues. He was a perfectionist when it came to his contracting abilities. John was very generous and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a Christian man who loved the Lord.

He leaves behind his wife, Shelly (Lopau) Jones; daughters, Julie Jones, Gail Hice both of Alma and Diane Hice of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind a son, Colby Jones and wife Jordan of Mountainburg; grandchildren, Willie, Kary, Glen Ray, Gregory, Alisha, Julisha, Danielle, Charity, Jon and Jay; 7 great grandchildren and lifelong friends, Mickie Frazier and Cheryl Lopau.

A family held memorial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Alma Heights Baptist Church, 638 Rudy Road, Alma, AR 72921.

Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
