James “Jim” Bailey

James “Jim” Bailey, 84 of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on September 17, 2025. He was born January 8, 1941 to James Terry Bailey and Crystal Pauline Bailey. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Westark Community College.

Jim had a long and fulfilling career as an engineer, specializing in tool and die. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite activities included his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim was the devoted husband of his favorite hunting and fishing partner, Teryl “Terri” Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; children, Jaime Higginbotham and husband, David of Saint Petersburg, FL, Jeanna Starkey and husband, James of Lavaca, AR, Jennifer Geren of Fayetteville, AR and Gary Grimes, Jr. of Greenwood, AR; grandchildren, Catherine, David, James, Logan, Amber, Brian Lee, Tyler, McKenzie and Jayden and 14 great grandchildren. Jim was proceeded in death by his daughter, Catherine Justine Barham.
