Gwendolyn Kay Dickson

Gwendolyn Kay Dickson, 80 of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Dickson; her parents Forest and Mildred (Nelson) Carter; a brother, Forest Wayne Carter.

She is survived by two daughters, Gayle Newman and husband Mike of Fort Smith, Frances Sanabria of Muldrow, Oklahoma; one son, Joe Dickson of Fort Smith; her brothers Edwin Carter and wife Cathy of Redman, Washington, James Carter and wife Betty of Dallas, Texas; Ten Grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Monday, September 22, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
