Adley P Riddle Jr

Adley P. Riddle Jr., age 100, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1925, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to Adley Riddle Sr. and Eva Lena Riddle.

On December 14, 1946, Adley married the love of his life, Ruby Kennedy, and they shared 75 wonderful years of marriage together. Their union was a true example of love and commitment, and together they built a strong and loving family. Adley proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career with Arkhola Sand & Gravel, where he retired after 37 years of dedicated service. Adley found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including his love for rabbit hunting and spending time with family.

He is survived by his children, Ronald Lynn Riddle and wife Rose of Springdale, AR, and Roger Dale Riddle of Fort Smith, AR; eight grandchildren, Larry, Carrie, Keenen, Cody, Kristal, Paul, and Denver; fourteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Cecil Riddle and wife Rose of Fort Smith, and his sister, Ruth Wilson of Roland, OK.

Adley was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruby; his parents; his daughter, Paulette Holmes and son-in-law Larry Holmes; his granddaughter, Kyra; two sisters; and four brothers.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. officiated by Mason Polk and Kelly Smith. Pallbearers will be Cody Riddle, Keenen Polk, Paul Riddle, Denver Riddle, Ronnie Polk, and Larry McAlister. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
