James Lavon Ritchie

James Lavon Ritchie, 67, of Van Buren passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday August 7, 2025. He was born in Mulberry, AR on January 15, 1958 to the late Argle and Mary (Melson) Ritchie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Willy Ritchie and a nephew Bobby Ritchie.

He is survived by his children, Andrea Ritchie, James Ritchie and Steven Ritchie; a sister, Glenda Ritchie and brother, Tony Ritchie. His grandchildren Emillie Parker, Tyler Howe, Jacob Garrett, Samantha, Louis, and Breanna Green, and Kamryn Ritchie. His great grandchildren, Adrianna Young, Landen Wilkinson, Jade Parker, Daniella Howe, Octavia Dawn, Billie Rychelle, Juniper Sue, Cole William, Christopher, Collin and Gracelyn Garrett. His nephew Jodie Mize, Billy Freeman, Junior Ritchie and niece, Denise Freeman, Christina Ritchie and Stacy Ritchie.

The family will visit with relatives and friends from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson St.
