Stewart “Butch” Dungan, 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 in his home. He was born March 19, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas to J.T. and William Pauline (Stephenson) Dungan. He was retired from Hickory Springs, member and secretary for over 20 years of the Buzzard Club of America, Fort Smith Chapter and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dungan; one son, Steve Dungan and wife, Wendi of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Seth, Ashlyn and Sara Beth Dungan and a niece, Paulette Turner of Walters, OK. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Sally Kirkpatrick, Jimmy Dungan and Jo O’Hagen.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. The family will have a private memorial service.
