Shirley Ann Glover, 81, of Fort Smith Arkansas passed from this life July 4, 2025.

She was born to Trudie (Gourley) Morris and McConal R. Morris on November 20, 1943 in Haywood, Oklahoma. Shirley married Paul David Glover in Stuart, OK June 16, 1962 and they had two daughters together.

Shirley was a fashion merchandise manager with Riverside furniture for 40+ years. She was personally responsible for accessorizing the showrooms in Dallas, Las Vegas and High Point, North Carolina. Her sense of style showed in all aspects of her life.

Shirley was an excellent seamstress. She made her daughter’s prom dresses, her oldest daughter‘s wedding dress, and quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley spent time volunteering with her church aiding abused women. She created baskets to help them get started in their new houses. Shirley learned at a young age how to make herself helpful in the kitchen. Her pies not only tasted wonderful, but they were a beauty to look at. Every holiday was carefully planned out from the dishes to the decorations.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Trudie Morris and her sister Sue Messel.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years Paul, her daughters Canzada (Joe) Taylor and Lucinda (Wayne) Williams. She has four grandchildren, Lyndsey Woodbury, Shea-Lynn Imler, Britt Williams, Brooke Evans, and nine great grandchildren.

Joined by the family, Shirley leaves some dear friends and some younger people whose lives have been influenced by her compassionate heart, her willingness to listen and to offer motherly wisdom upon request.

Funeral service will be held July 10, 2025 at Edward’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am with burial at Woodlawn cemetery following. Pallbearers are: Scott Woodbury, Wayne Williams, Britt Williams, Dillon Evans, Mark Gay & Brady Woosley.

Visitation will be held on July 9, 2025 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Edwards Funeral Home.
