Shelley Ford

Shelley L. Ford (Frey), of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, in a local Fort Smith hospice. Shelley was born in 1961, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980. She met her husband, Mark, in 1982, and they married a year later and lived in Fayetteville while Mark attended law school, moving to Fort Smith in 1985. She loved her family and friends, and her dogs, with an open heart and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra K. Frey, and a brother, Shane Frey. She is survived by her husband, Mark, of Fort Smith; her father, L. Ray Frey, of Lincoln, Nebraska; a sister, Cheri Edman and husband (Ronnie), of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a brother, Shawn L. Frey, of Cape San Blas, Florida.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel at Edwards Funeral Home, Fort Smith, Arkansas, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. A separate service will be held at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she will be interred.
