Juanita Lavonn Taylor, age 86, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2025 at her home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 14, 1939 in Conway, Arkansas. A daughter to the late Almos and Oleta Hairston.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald Taylor, her sister Virginia Ledbetter, brothers Theo Hairston, Howard Hairston, Cecil Hairston and Dwight Hairston.
Juanita retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company to a full time job of raising her grandchildren. She was the glue and fierce protector of her family. Visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always ended with a secret hand shake.
Juanita is survived by her sisters Evelyn Hairston and Jane Hairston, sons, Claud Taylor( Brenda), Tim Taylor(Angela). Grandchildren Brittany Brown (Micah), Emily Hurst(Joey), Nathan Taylor and Genie Milone, and Hayden Taylor. Great grandchildren Shepherd Hurst, Nova Brown, Adlee Brown and Elijah Brown.
A family graveside service will be held in Conway Arkansas at a later date.
