Wayne Galloway, 79, passed from this life June 8, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born April 23, 1946, in Fort Smith to Don and Opal (Treece) Galloway. He was a former employee of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company, and he enjoyed watching remote control airplanes. Wayne was a Navy Veteran, serving in Viet Nam.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Opal Galloway; and his brother, Jerry Don Galloway.
He is survived by his sister, Delores and husband Tom Pistacchio of Fresno, CA, sister, Donna and husband Gary Renfro of Van Buren, and brother, David Galloway of Pocola, OK; sister-in-law, Janice Galloway of Fort Smith; nieces and nephews, Rick (Jody) Hutcheson of Oregon, Alisha (Dan) Ballard of Nashville, TN, Heather (Brian) Miller of Newport Beach, CA, Chris (Christina) Galloway of Greenbriar, AR, Jeremy (Chelsea) Galloway of Ft. Smith; Grand nieces’ are; Savannah Shaves, Madeline Shaves, Isabella Hutcheson, Gabriella Hutcheson, Cassidy McGrath, and Kaitlyn McGrath, all from California, Ashley (Joe) Jahnsen of Springfield, Missouri, Cohen Galloway of Ft. Smith.
grand nephews’; Mason and Jake McGrath, both from California, Caleb (Jessica) Galloway of Tulsa, OK; several great-nieces and nephews; and cousins, Susan Kibler, and Danny (Shiela) Selby, both of Kibler, AR.
Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2025, at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
