Jerri Joan Evatt, who resided near Mansfield, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Waldron, Arkansas. She was born on October 9, 1970, in Beaumont, Texas, to Carl Glen Hidalgo and Susan Ann (Berard) Hidalgo. She was 54 years old. She was preceded in death by her father.

Jerri was a homemaker. She was a member of Sebastian County Search and Rescue, radar operator for West Arkansas Emergency Responders Association, a Ham Radio operator and storm spotter, and former member of the volunteer fire department. She loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter, Samantha Evatt of Fort Smith; her mother, Susan Hidalgo of Texas; three sisters, Doris Long, twin-sister, Carrie Cody and Mary O’Neill, all of Texas; and two brothers, Larry Hidalgo and Darryl Hidalgo, both of Texas.
