Jason Andrew Kerns

Jason Andrew Kerns, 45, of Alma, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Van Buren. He was born July 18, 1979 in Muskogee. He had worked for Stryten Energy.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Kerns of the home; a son, Noah Kerns of the home; his parents, Larry and Debra Kerns of Van Buren; a sister, Misty Scruggs and husband Randall of Hernando, MS; a brother, Jeremy Bryan of Boynton, OK; his grandmother, Rosetta Hughes of Van Buren; his mother-in-law, Lola Mathews of Van Buren; in-laws, Charity Royse and husband Chris of Van Buren, and Kendall Landers and wife Jennifer of Rothsay, MN; nieces and nephews, Victoria Chann (Jon), Nora Landers, Izzabella Klein, Elijah Klein, Nathan Mathews, Jenson Landers, Gavin Scruggs, Cohen Scruggs, and Waylen Bryan; and great-nieces and -nephews, Ansley Chunn, Kash Chunn, and Gracelynn Chunn.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers Jeremy Bryan, Steven Kimble, Neil Roberson, Paul Hardin, Jr., Randall Scruggs, and Josh Livingston. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Mathews, Elijah Klein, Jenson Landers, Cohen Scruggs, Gavin Scruggs, and Kendall Landers.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
