Jamie Jones was sworn in as president of the Arkansas Bar Association on Friday (June 13) during the association’s annual meeting at Oaklawn Resort in Hot Springs. She is a partner with Friday, Eldredge & Clark in Little Rock where she practices civil litigation and is on the management committee.
She earned the highest score on the Arkansas Bar Exam in 2003 and has been an active and engaged member of the Arkansas Bar Association. She is a tenured delegate in the House of Delegates, a former member of the Board of Governors, and has served on and chaired numerous committees.
Her contributions have been recognized by ArkBar with multiple leadership awards. She is a two-term former member of the Arkansas Bar Foundation Board of Directors and continues to serve as a Fellow. Jones is also a Past President of the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and serves in national leadership roles with the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.
In June, she became the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Central Arkansas and the immediate past president of the National Charity League, Little Rock Chapter. Her previous community leadership includes board roles with the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Junior League of Little Rock, and the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Greater Little Rock.
Jones graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2000. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2003 where she was managing editor of the Kansas Law Review.
She grew up in Rogers but has made Little Rock her home since graduating law school.
