William “Billy” Schultz, 62, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on May 15, 2025. He was born on June 4, 1962, in Logan, Kansas, to Paul and Eloyse (Bard) Schultz.
For the past 30 years, Billy was a well-known and beloved bartender in Fort Smith, working at several local favorites including TGI Fridays, Movie Lounge, Italianos, and Prima Italia. Known for his warm smile and easygoing charm, he made lasting friendships wherever he worked. Billy was happiest at home, enjoying a relaxing happy hour in his hot tub. A talented and passionate chef, he took pride in creating delicious meals and sharing them with those he loved.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Eloyse Schultz and stepmother Ann Schultz.
Left behind to honor and cherish Billy’s memory is his partner of 38 years, David Lowry; sister Paula Meyer and her husband Tom; his nephew Kyle Meyer and his wife Jessica, and their children Hadley, Campbell, and Delaney; his great-nephew Carter Meyer; his sister Tonya Matheny and her husband Steve; his nieces Shelby Grubbs and her husband Ben, and their children Charley, Rory, and Bradley; and Sydney Volz and her husband Brandon, and their children Brexley and Briar; and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to honor Billy’s life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00am at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
