Talk Business & Politics has launched a weekly, subscription-based newsletter focused on federal activity in Washington, D.C.

The newsletter, which is delivered on Saturday mornings, offers a weekly interview/podcast with one of the six federally elected officials in Arkansas — U.S. Sens. John Boozman and Tom Cotton and U.S. Reps. Rick Crawford, French Hill, Steve Womack and Bruce Westerman.

All six officials have more than a decade of experience in Congress and are chairmen of important committees and subcommittees. Their interviews recap the week in Washington and offer deeper dives into upcoming legislation and political battles in their committees and across Congress.

In addition to interviews with elected officials, the newsletter features interviews with the state’s business community on federal issues as well as behind-the-scenes conversations with D.C. political insiders ranging from journalists to Capitol staffers to Washington lobbyists and former elected officials.

“Congress has always been an important beat for us, but with the power being wielded by our current federal delegation, there has never been a more important time to gain insight and understanding of the moves being made in D.C.,” said Roby Brock, Talk Business & Politics Editor-in-Chief. “This weekly newsletter will step up our political coverage.

“While some of the interviews in this newsletter will make it to our website, paying subscribers will get more content than will be offered for free, and they will get it well in advance of our regular readers. If your business depends on policies from Washington or you are just a true political junkie, you’ll love this newsletter.”

In addition to interviews, the TB&P D.C. Edition newsletter will round up a variety of important items regularly, including key votes in Congress, campaign finance reports, and deeper analysis of legislation. Subscribers can access previous newsletters too.

The cost of an annual subscription is $300, or $25 per month. To sign up, email your request to subscriptions@talkbusiness.net.
