McGehee Bank, a community bank serving McGehee and the surrounding communities since 1933, announced it will begin operating under a new name — Producers Bank & Trust – effective Aug. 18, 2025.
The new name marks the next chapter in the bank’s 90+ year history as it opens the door for new opportunities and new communities. While the name is changing, the bank’s local ownership, leadership, and commitment to its customers remain exactly the same.
“Since our founding in McGehee in 1933, we have been honored to serve generations of customers with integrity and personal care,” said Jim Youngblood, president and CEO of McGehee Bank. “We’ve chosen a new name that reflects the broader scope of our services while staying true to the trust we’ve built over the decades. Our trust department has served our community for 55 years with assets under management ranking as the largest in Southeast Arkansas, so it was important for our brand to reflect trust services.”
“Everyone is producing something – a thriving business, a growing family, a better tomorrow,” Youngblood added. “For over 90 years, we’ve been here to support our customers’ hard work and ambition with the trust and personalized care they deserve. Our name reflects our commitment to helping our customers produce lasting success, because when our community succeeds, we all succeed.”
Customers can expect the same personalized service and local decision-making that has defined the bank for generations. No action is needed from customers — all account numbers, debit cards, checks, and digital banking services will remain the same with no disruptions to services.
Customers will see new signage and a refreshed website on Aug. 18. The same employees will continue to work under the new name Producers Bank & Trust in all four banking offices.
