Juanita Sue Bowles

Juanita Sue Bowles, 77, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at her home. She was born March 15, 1948 in Kibler to the late E.R. and Ruth (Miller) Mulkey. She was a retired LPN from Crawford Health & Rehab.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in siblings, Mary Bishop, Omega Donald, Gemmale Hendrix, Beulah Beatrice Mulkey, Joe Mulkey, and Albert Mulkey; and a grandson, Anthony Ryder Thomas.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Bowles of Mountainburg, Charolette Willis and husband Tim of Kibler, Tina Alverson and husband Lloyd of Alma, Michael Bowles and wife Melissa of Mountainburg, Ricky Bowles and wife Trease of Van Buren, and Kristie Short of Kibler; two brothers, Silas and Robert Mulkey, both of Kibler; fifteen grandchildren, Tabitha Watson, Robert and Rachael Bowles, Brittany and Derrick Willis, Brandy Lee, Daniel Willis, Justin Alverson, Ashley Robinson, Richard and Keshia Bowles, Emilie Parker, Cody Stigall, Christopher Brisher, and Clayton Bowles; and twenty-five great-grandchildren, Charisma Watson, Jaiden Bowles, Quinton and Krisalyn Walker, Terry Johnson, Adalyn, Emberly, and Hudson Willis, Jarreck Baker, Alyssa Willis, Jayden Alverson, Addison and Arabella Alverson, Braidin, Gavin, and Isabella Robinson, Kristopher and Lucas Bowles, Adrianna Young, Taylor Coder, Abbigail Brisher, Trinton Ribson, Dalton Stigall, and Haidyn and Jamison Willis.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bowles, Daniel Willis, Derrick Willis, Justin Alverson, Richard Bowles, Cody Stigall, Clayton Bowles, and Christopher Brisher.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
