David Lee Hiler, 71, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on May 27, 2025, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. David was born on June 15, 1954, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to J.C. and Doris Hiler.

David was a passionate man, devoted to God, and loved spending time with family and friends. He was known for his warm heart and helping others. David worked in construction, and sales. David worked as a Police officer for Muskogee PD, an Intermediate Medic at Muskogee County EMS, and was a Volunteer Fireman at Gooseneck Bend Fire Dept. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and cousin. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, pranking people, and making all who he encountered laugh. His legacy included inspiring and uplifting those who were fortunate enough to know him. He would spend his days off work going to the park in Ft. Smith, sharing the love of Jesus to anyone who would listen and would baptize those who wished to give their lives to Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Doris (Carroll) Hiler; Nephew James Raley, and great niece, Callie Slader.

David is survived by his two sisters, Cynthia Rogers of Tulsa and Pam Tickle and husband Mike of Muskogee. David is also survived by his 5 children, Michael Hiler and wife Bernitta of Eufaula, Candace Middleton and husband Jack of Kiowa, Brandt Hiler and wife Angela of Vian, and Jessica Hiler and fiancé Anthony of Ft. Gibson, and Gabriella Hiler of Muskogee; Grandchildren, Josh Middleton, Carissa Middleton, Trevor Middleton, Christopher Middleton, Jackie Middleton, Keylee Siers and husband Devon, Hunter Hiler and fiancé Macy, Kenedee Rittenhouse, Tevin Rittenhouse, Kaben Hiler, Kendall Hiler, Makenlay Tyree, Easton Siler and Tymber Siler. Great grandchildren, Ella, Myles, Harper, Cassius and Caius. Nieces and Nephews, Cristy Morgan and husband Benny, Amber Madewell and husband Nick; Ashley Province and husband Steven, Brittany Stevenson and husband Heath, and Kyle Slader, along with many great great nieces, nephews and cousins. Special brother-in-law Jim Raley and special brothers Joe Beavers, Mark Forrest, and the late Jimmy Jack Huggins.

The family would like to thank all those who were a part of David’s life.
