Mary Trimble

Mary Louise Trimble, 82, passed from this life on Friday, March 21, 2025 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born February 13, 1943 in Magazine, AR to Loyd and Zola Bell (Beckett). She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Jonathan M. Trimble. Mary leaves behind one sister, Patsy Cochran, brother-in-law, Larry, and nephew, Kevin, among cousins, friends, and neighbors that she loved and enjoyed. After graduation from Fort Smith High School in 1961, Mary was hired as a clerk typist at Fort Chaffee and rose through the ranks of the U.S. Federal Civil Service retiring as a case manager for the Social Security system. Mary was proud that through her job, she was able to help and improve peoples’ lives. Upon retirement, Mary and Jon moved to Fort Smith where they enjoyed life at home and loved to travel with their canine companions. Jon and Mary were embraced by the loving congregation at Valley View Church of Christ in Greenwood, AR. Funeral Services will be held at the pavilion at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
