Kongsavanh Phanid

Kongsavanh Phanid, aged 65, peacefully departed this life on March 20, 2025, at Chapel Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on August 24, 1959, in Vientiane, Laos, she was the cherished daughter of Bounky and Viengthong Souvannavong. Kongsavanh married her devoted husband, Chanpheng Phanid, on January 1, 1997, and together they shared many joyful years of love and companionship.

Throughout her career, Kongsavanh worked diligently as an assembler with her most recent position at Citi Trends. In her leisure time, she enjoyed visiting the casino and was known for her exceptional culinary skills, delighting her family with her delicious Laotian and Thai dishes. A true animal lover, she had a special affection for her pet dogs. Kongsavanh will be lovingly remembered as a warm-hearted and friendly woman, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Chanpheng Phanid, her daughter, Katrine Phonyaphanh; one grandchild, Oliver White; three brothers, Chansamone, Khonesavanh, and Phanpasong; and two sisters, Sarah James and Vongmany Nuth. She is also survived by her three stepchildren, Todd Phanid, Nancy Willis, and Shandria Pinckard; and seven step-grandchildren.

Kongsavanh is preceded in death by her mother, Viengthong Souvannavong.

A Blessing Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel, officiated by the Lao Buddhist Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
