Judy Elaine Nelson Weeks, 75, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Born on April 6, 1948, in Colusa, California, she was the beloved daughter of Elzie Ray “Peudad” Nelson and Ollie May Scott Nelson. A devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter, Judy was known for her unwavering love for her family. She took immense pride in being the mother of five sons, and her kindness, warmth, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Judy dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked at Mercy Hospital, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, and Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as well as at Freemont Hospital in Yuba City, California, and in private care in Merritt Island, Florida. She was also a restaurant owner, operating Our House Too in Van Buren, Arkansas. Beyond her professional work, Judy was passionate about singing karaoke and gospel music with her church worship team. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, sewing, cooking, and baking. Raised in the Pentecostal faith within the Church of Christ, her deep-rooted beliefs were a guiding force in her life.

Judy is survived by her five sons: Miles Weeks, Jr. and his girlfriend, Tiona; Michael “Bub” Weeks and his wife, Jennifer; Mark Weeks and his girlfriend, Michelle; Matthew Weeks and his girlfriend, Ellen and McKale Weeks and his wife, Maggie. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Harold, Bradley, Hunter, Saddie, Kisia, Rachel, Ashly, Gunner, Brianna, Brooke, Brandon, Journey, Sydnee, Zoey, Michael “Cole,” and Lillian, as well as great-grandchildren: Hayden, Obsidian, Emma, Rylan, Bryntlee, Jaxson, Vallory, Harper, Zayden, Ezra, and Louie; sister, Joyce Phillips; and the father of her children, Miles Kent Weeks, Sr.

Judy’s life was enriched by many special family members and friends, including Barbara Scott, Jim Wilkerson, Frank Draper, Flossie Robinson, Martin Wilkerson, Troy Phillips, Joy Phillips, Charlotta Mertz, Theresa Crisp, Brenda Kimberly, Pam Gage, and countless others who had the opportunity to meet her..

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her grandparents, Robert William Nelson and Mahalia Fairless Nelson; her maternal grandparents, Martin Van Buren “Mart” Scott and Martha Clementine Pate Scott; as well as her siblings, Maxine Oliver, J.R. Nelson, Bob Nelson, Gene “Doc” Nelson, Jim Nelson, Avis Wilkerson, and Billie Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Luther Ferguson.

Judy’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the love and joy she brought into their lives.  Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
