Jerry B. Frisby

Jerry B. Frisby, 87, passed from this life February 22, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born December 14, 1937 in Fort Smith to Clarence Cruse Frisby and Orpha Irene (Bradley) Frisby. Jerry was a United States Air Force Veteran, and in 1962 he joined the 184 Th Sqd Air National Guard. He retired after 35 years at First National Bank Ft. Smith, Vice President Commercial Loans, where he served as Bookkeeper, Teller, Branch Manager, Installment loan officer, and Bank Regulation Compliance officer. Jerry was a Lt. Col. Civil Air Patrol, Commander Ft. Smith Squadron, Mission Pilot, Ground Team Leader, and he received Meritorious Service Award for outstanding performance of duty. He was a Cattleman for 15 years, and was a member of the American Polled Hereford Association. He was also a member of DeMolay, Boy Scouts, Jaycees (Treasurer), Lions Club, Kiwanis, American Institute of Banking FSM (President), AOPA, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Noon Exchange Club, Quiet Birdman, American Legion (Finance Officer), and Civil Air Patrol (Squadron Com).

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frank Martin Frisby; and his son-in-law, Clay Scott Stuart.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Stuart and husband John Foley; son, Mike Frisby; sister, Joan Fay Frisby; grandchildren, Brandon Frisby, Hailey Muhler (Trevor), Sarah Bugbee (Matt), Reid Stuart, Kimberlyn Stuart, Marie Claudia Laine Stuart, Lorelei Stuart, Scott C. A. Stuart; five great-grandchildren; nephews, Chris Frisby, Dan Frisby, Trent Hubbard, Steve Howard, Les Howard.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fort Smith National Cemetery.
