Gerald Harrison, age 79, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025. Born on June 6, 1945, in Springdale, Arkansas, he was the cherished son of George and Oneta (Burnette) Harrison.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Gerald was known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and captivating stories. He spent 58 years with his beloved wife, Letha Flynn Harrison, building a life rich in love, happiness, and shared memories. Throughout his life, Gerald was dedicated to his work as a carpenter and the proud owner of Harrison’s Furniture. He had a deep love for baseball and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Letha; his father, George Harrison; and his siblings: Sharon Woods, Buster Harrison, Dale Harrison, and Raymond Harrison.

His memory lives on in the hearts of his surviving family: his mother, Oneta Harrison of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his six children: Sheranna Ramey of Greenwood, Arkansas; Judy Spencer of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Jubilee Harrison of Fort Smith, Arkansas; John Harrison of Spiro, Oklahoma; Matthew Harrison of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and James Harrison of Greenwood, Arkansas. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Brian, Jacob, Joey, Sam, Courtney, and Hayden; as well as his six great-grandchildren: Holden, Atley, Olivia, Piper, Joseph, Blakely, and one on the way.

Gerald’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

A private ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at his daughter’s home. Cremation will be under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
