A $40 million hospitality development on Markham Hill in Fayetteville was completed when its three-story, 78-room hotel opened recently. The hotel operation has about 75 staff.

The 62,914-square-foot Stonebreaker Hotel at 163 N. Cabin Ridge Road was the final phase of the larger Stonebreaker development that also includes a restaurant, members’ club and 7,000-square-foot event center The Barn.

Fayetteville-based Specialized Real Estate Group was the developer. Austin, Texas-based FÖDA was the designer. Hay Creek Hotels is the property operator.

“We’re excited to welcome guests to experience the Stonebreaker Hotel,” said Gary Simms, CEO of Hay Creek Hotels. “Our team has worked hard to create an inviting and functional space for travelers and the community.”

The restaurant and club opened this past fall within 11,000-square-foot The House at 2231 W. Markham Road, adjacent to the hotel.

“Stonebreaker is an important addition to the growing Northwest Arkansas hospitality scene,” said Robert Apple, director of strategy and communications of Specialized Real Estate Group. “Our team’s experience and vision will make Stonebreaker a standout destination.”
