Richard Earl Brannan, 83, of Midland, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born February 26, 1941 in Oakland, California to Loren and Grace (Richford) Brannan. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, serving during Desert Storm.
He is survived by one son, Danny Johnson and wife, DeAnna of Midland; three daughters, Debbie Wheeler and husband, Kenny of Fort Smith, Jessica Hearron and husband, Terry of Midland and Jackie Swope of Rogers; one sister, Linda Brannan of Long Beach, CA; eight grandchildren, Mark Meier, Michael Meier, Dezarae Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Tyler Hearron, Coby Hearron, Madison Hearron and Grace Swope; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Brannan.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 18 at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. A visitation with the family will be held Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
