Peggy Joyce (Holland) DeHart of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Saturday February 15, 2025 in a Fort Smith hospital. Peggy was born December 2, 1943 to Raymond and Helen “Pauline” (Cotner) Holland in Mansfield, Arkansas. She was a 1961 graduate of Mansfield High School and attended business school in Fort Smith. Dan and Peggy married after high school and were married for 57 years. She worked a long and fulfilling career at Westark Insurance Agency in Fort Smith. Peggy was a longtime and faithful member of the Church of Christ, spending many years loving on the members of the Mansfield congregation. Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially following her “beautiful” granddaughter, Rebekah around on adventures.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Danny, parents, Raymond and Pauline Holland and her beloved uncles, Raymond, Roy and Carrell Cotner.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ray and husband, J.C. of Rudy, Arkansas; granddaughter, Rebekah Ray also of Rudy; sister-in-law, Carla Silvey and husband, Ronnie of Boothe, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews that she thought the world of.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 21 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Internment at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas will follow Monday, February 24 at 10 a.m. Viewing will be Thursday 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends and family from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Silvey, Brentley Silvey, Dustin Silvey, Allen Wendling, Colton Silvey and Chandlin Silvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cotner, Mike Cotner and Kevin Cotner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peggy’s honor may be made to Berean Children’s Home, 1180 Berea Trail SE, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629, www.bereanhome.org or Southern Christian Children’s Home, 100 W. Harding St., Morrilton, AR 72100, www.schome.org.
