Hascall Loyd Nevels, of Van Buren, passed away February 8, 2025, at Baptist Health. He was born January 8, 1938, in Fort Smith to Lewis Odell Nevels and Viola Barnard Nevels. He was retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service, and he served in Thailand, Vietnam and three years in Korea. He retired from Walmart, Warehouse 2007, working in loss prevention. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
Hascall was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of Van Buren ; one son, Brian of Fort Smith; two daughters, Kimberly Lee and Gabriel of Tacoma, WA, and Patricia Wheeler and George of Lebanon, OR; three Step-sons; Richard, Keith, and Randy Tedder. all of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren; six-teen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many loved ones.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5 – 7 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
Graveside Service with Military Honors, will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
