Downtown Bentonville Inc. recently moved its office to 111 S. Main St. as it prepares for growth in the downtown, according to a news release.

The new office will be in a 7,000-square-foot building split between DBI and the new Marrs on Main. DBI will use about 40% of this space. Dave and Jenny Marrs previously announced their new store would open this spring.

The release shows that moving to the first-floor office will allow DBI staff to grow and manage its events more efficiently. The new location is between Main Street and the new A Street pedestrian-only walkway.

“This puts DBI right in the heart of the action as Bentonville gets ready to open its new pedestrian promenade,” Executive Director Dana Schlagenhaft said. “We’re a boots-on-the-ground, grassroots organization, and this growth means we’ll be even more plugged into the community we love.”

DBI has seven staff and a “handful of hourly helpers,” according to a DBI spokesman.

“With the expansion of the A Street Promenade, we are hoping to grow our staff in 2025.”

DBI board president Kirk Gober at Schlumberger Scherer Construction and executive committee board member Randall Hurban from rh Architectural Design helped “this project come to life,” according to the release.

“We live in a growing and thriving downtown, so we knew it was time to expand the Downtown Bentonville Incorporated offices,” Gober said. “This new space will allow DBI to focus on enhancing its top programs through free, family festivals and farmer-focused markets, while also giving our team the space to grow.”
