Alice Dawson

Alice Dawson, 71 of Greenwood, AR, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born on August 13,1953, to the late Robert Williams and Dorothy Garrett Williams. Alice was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center, where she worked as a medical coding supervisor. Alice was an avid gardener; she loved her flowers and plants. She was always there for her family, and she loved her dogs and cats. Alice and her husband James spent numerous weekends and holidays camping and fishing at Lake Ouachita. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James C. Dawson and a brother, Jerry Lee Williams.

She is survived by three brothers, Bobby G. Williams of Lavaca, Tommy Ray Williams of Stockton, CA and Jackie Wayne Williams and his wife Dianna of Lavaca, two nieces, Amanda Shomber and her husband Justus, and Teranna Demming, both of Lavaca. She is also survived by two great nieces and two great nephews.

Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 28, 2025, at the committal shelter of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
