It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Wofford, 61, of Alma, Arkansas, on December 28, 2024. Born on December 21, 1963, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Tom was the beloved son of Boyce and Ann Wofford.

Tom was a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he played in the Arkansas Razorback Band, showcasing his lifelong love of music. He devoted 37 years to a distinguished career as a pharmacist, serving his community with care and compassion. His faith in God was the foundation of his life, shaping his love for family, friends, and storytelling. Tom had a remarkable gift for sharing stories, bringing laughter and joy to all who listened.
Tom’s adventurous spirit and love for life were evident in everything he did. Whether tending beautiful gardens, traveling the world, snow skiing, or simply spending time with loved ones, Tom approached life with passion and purpose. Above all, he treasured his family, who were his greatest source of joy and pride.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Wofford, and his children: Emily (Derek) Floerchinger, Hannah Wofford, Noah Wofford, and Zoye Wofford; as well as his stepchildren: Connor (Amber) Lind, Jackson Lind, and Logan Lind. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cameron, Caleb, Cason, and Barrett, along with his brothers, Boyce (Cindy) Wofford and Richard (Ilse) Wofford, and a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss his warmth, wisdom, and storytelling.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Boyce and Ann Wofford, and his daughter, Katie Wofford.  Tom was deeply loved and leaves behind a void that can never be filled. His kindness, humor, and enduring legacy of faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at River Glenn Funeral Home , 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Funeral services to celebrate Tom’s life will take place on Saturday, January 4, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Alma, 211 Mountain Grove Road, Alma, Arkansas.

In honor of Tom’s vibrant life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
