Janece Reed

Janece Reed, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, died Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1962, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Earl Doyle Hickey and Mary Jane Christine (Stringer) Hickey. She was 62 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Doyle Hickey.

For several years, Janece was a hairdresser and a Jehovah Witness.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Wayne Reed; two sons, Marcus Phillips of Fort Smith and Ethan Phillips of Charleston; a step-son, Josh Reed and wife Carrie of Springdale; her mother, Christine Place of Van Buren; five brothers, Rickey Hickey, Earl Ray Hickey, David Hickey, Danny Hickey, and Jerry Hickey; two step-grandchildren, Carter and Jax.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
