Andrew Smith hired as program director for 75Strong
75Strong, a statewide initiative designed to support, scale, and sustain Arkansas’ entrepreneurial community has hired Andrew Smith as the program director.
“Andrew’s unique blend of experience from curriculum development, community development, and work in rural communities was the perfect addition to the 75Strong team. I’m confident his innovative approach and commitment to empowering local leaders will drive impactful change and deepen our impact across the state,” said Grace Rains, Executive Director of Conductor.
Smith has a background in education, nonprofit development, and community engagement. Most recently, he worked as the associate vice chancellor of enrollment at Phillips Community College. Smith founded his nonprofit, Delta Magic, to support rural ecosystems in the Delta region of Arkansas.
“As someone who is from a small, rural town I know how big of an impact even one successful small business can have on a community. I’m excited to join the Conductor and get to work supporting our current and future business leaders so that they can do for their communities what my favorite businesses have been able to do for my community,” he said.
As program director, Smith will lead recruitment and training efforts for community leaders who are dedicated to supporting local businesses and fostering entrepreneurship throughout Arkansas.
The three-year 75Strong program is specifically designed to equip economic developers, chamber executives, community leaders, and university representatives as entrepreneurial developers.
Funded by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), the program will provide critical resources, expert guidance, and strategic planning support to help leaders strengthen business ecosystems within their communities.
