Lena Hayes to become chief of philanthropy and partnerships at Clinton Foundation
Lena Hayes, who has served as executive director of the Baptist Health Foundation, will return to the Clinton Foundation as Chief of Philanthropy and Partnerships. The foundation confirmed her hiring on Thursday (Aug. 15).
In this development role, Hayes will oversee philanthropy and partnerships for the Clinton Foundation. The position is a new one on staff, and Hayes will start Sept. 9.
“It is an exciting time at the Clinton Presidential Center, as we mark 20 years of impact and plan for a modernization and expansion,” said Stephanie S. Streett, executive director of the Clinton Foundation.
“Lena Hayes previously played an integral role at the Clinton Foundation for more than 15 years and recently has served as a remarkably effective leader for the Baptist Health Foundation. I’m thrilled Lena is returning to the Clinton Center to lead our efforts to build the partnerships and marshal the resources we’ll need to achieve our ambitious goals to deepen our impact for the next 20 years,” Streett added.
The Clinton Foundation is a nonpartisan organization founded by President Bill Clinton. Since 2001, the foundation has transformed philanthropy through programs that develop leaders and accelerate solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
Programs founded by the Clinton Foundation include the Clinton Global Initiative, which has done work in more than 180 countries affecting more than 500 million people; the Clinton Health Access Initiative, which has reached nearly 30 million people with lifesaving HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis medication by pioneering new approaches for procuring and delivering treatment; and the Clinton Presidential Center and Library, which provides civic education and cultural programming.
