When Mindy Craig joined Arvest Bank in 2006, she didn’t know it would become her career. She’d started as a teller to gain work experience.
“Arvest gave me the opportunity to get my college education and be able to work as well,” she said. “That’s what started me in this career path, and in that, I’ve learned I have a passion for helping people. I get to do that every day in my career here.”
Over the years, she’s been promoted multiple times, including to deposit counselor, assistant branch manager and branch sales manager. She’s received numerous company awards for sales and service and wealth management, including being recognized as one of the firm’s top advisers.
“Arvest has given me an opportunity to continue to layer on my education and experience to be able to further myself here,” she said.
In 2017, she was promoted to her existing role and helps customers “build, manage, protect and transition their wealth … making sure that your money is working as hard as you are,” she said. “We are a full-service brokerage firm within Arvest. Anything that you might think of that an investment firm can do, we do here within Arvest. But we do it with our community roots and also the ability for you to have … a one-stop shop that your banking, your mortgage, your business lending needs … can happen here as well as your wealth planning goals.”
Craig has about $130 million in assets under management and serves about 480 households.
She’s a mentor for the company’s mentorship program and is professional development co-chair for the company’s Women of Work group. She’s a financial literacy speaker for Hustle in Heels, Dress for Success and Young Professionals Summit.
