Named One to Watch by Best Lawyers in America, Katie Campbell practices commercial and employment defense litigation and employment law. She argued and won a case before the Arkansas Supreme Court, affirming a school’s ability to require masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From Little Rock, Campbell graduated summa cum laude in 2007 in international affairs and public relations from the University of Georgia, where a media law class sparked her interest in a legal career.
For three years, she worked in the executive and legislative branches at the FCC and on Capitol Hill for U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., her role model “in terms of being a professional woman and following your dreams.” After seeing the benefits of a law degree, Campbell attended the University of Arkansas Law School, graduating summa cum laude in 2013.
While clerking for U.S. District Judge Price Marshall in the Eastern District of Arkansas, she became interested in litigation and returned to Washington, D.C., to work at the Wiley law firm, before joining her current firm in 2019.
Named partner in 2022, Campbell is a Next Generation member of the Employment Law Association, the state’s only individual with this title. She’s involved in the national employment law scene, speaking nationwide. Wanting to change the perception of Arkansas outside the state, she’s its biggest cheerleader in terms of the caliber of lawyers, law practiced here and the state’s beauty.
Campbell mentors younger lawyers, serves on the American Cancer Society’s board and chairs its annual Suits and Sneakers event.
She was appointed to serve on the Arkansas Supreme Court’s Continuing Legal Education Board and is a member of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers.
To relax, Campbell raises chickens and gardens with her children.
