Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders announced Thursday (July 18) she will take part in an overseas trade mission to the United Kingdom and Germany the week of July 22.

The trip coincides with the Farnborough Air Show, which alternates between London and Paris. This year, the trade show is in London.

“My trade mission to the Paris Air Show last year was a huge success, helping Arkansas land projects from international players like Dassault Falcon and RTX, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in investment for our state,” Sanders said.

“This year, I’ll continue that success by pitching Arkansas at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom and meeting with some of our state’s major business partners in Germany,” she said.

“Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year. As we cut taxes, grow our workforce, and invest in education, we’re becoming an even more attractive state for investment. This trip will be crucial to getting that news out to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world,” Sanders said.

Talk Business & Politics will update this story later today.
