The Stephens Group promotes two to managing director roles
The Stephens Group, LLC announced Tuesday (March 12) the promotions of Allie Laborde to Managing Director – Business Development and Ryan Morrow to Managing Director.
Laborde joined the company in 2019 and leads business development for the firm. She focuses on new deal origination efforts, developing and strengthening investment banking and other intermediary relationships.
She sits on the board for Catalyst Acoustic Group and is a board observer at Exigent. Prior to joining The Stephens Group, she was a Vice President at The Halifax Group where she sourced and originated new transactions. Prior to The Halifax Group, Laborde was an Assistant Vice President at Nationstar Mortgage, where she worked on corporate development and investor relations activities.
She started her career in the Corporate Finance department at Stephens Inc., where she advised on mergers and acquisitions and public and private financing transactions across multiple industries.
Morrow joined the company in 2022 and focuses on technology investing, including all aspects of deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new technology-focused investments as well as partnering with portfolio company management to execute strategic and operational initiatives.
He sits on the board for PrincetonTMX and Armor and is a board observer at Accredible. Prior to joining The Stephens Group, Morrow spent nearly a decade in various leadership roles in venture capital and private equity backed technology companies. Most recently he was the CFO of Ungerboeck, a vertical SaaS provider to the events industry, and Apptegy, a high growth Ed Tech SaaS provider.
He began his career in both buyside and sellside equity research and possesses the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
