Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms, is expanding its national presence with a new office in Little Rock, the company announced Tuesday (Feb. 20).

The expansion reinforces TQL’s investment in Arkansas. TQL opened its Fayetteville office in 2014 and employs over 100 workers at that location.

No terms of investment or new hiring were disclosed, but officials said they hope to grow the Little Rock location to a similar size as Fayetteville.

“We’ve been in Arkansas for over a decade and are proud to expand our footprint and deepen our commitment to the state with an office in the Little Rock community,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said. “We chose Little Rock for many reasons, including its thriving local economy and great pool of talent. We’re excited to be part of the state’s largest municipality.”

TQL officials said proximity to the Port of Little Rock, a designated Foreign Trade Zone and United States Customs Point of Entry, was a factor in choosing the new location.

“Arkansas sits at the crossroads of America and is proud to host some of the world’s largest logistics companies, including TQL. I’m proud they’ve decided to double down on their investment in our state and expand to Little Rock. My administration will keep cutting taxes, investing in our workforce, and growing our economy to help companies like TQL thrive,” Gov. Sarah Sanders said.

TQL has leased over 5,000 square feet at 1701 Center View Drive for the Little Rock office.

TQL provides a portfolio of logistics services and a network of 140,000+ carriers. Founded in 1997 in Cincinnati, Ohio, TQL is one of the largest logistics firms in North America, with more than 9,000 employees in over 60 offices across the U.S.
