Fayetteville public relations firm Dentsu Creative (formerly Mitchell) is planning to relocate its Northwest Arkansas office from North College Avenue in Fayetteville to downtown Bentonville.

CEO Sarah Clark said the company will lease 1,350 square feet inside the 230,000-square-foot Ledger office building on South Main Street. Like other businesses that office there, Dentsu will have access to Ledger’s additional business amenities, including meeting and training rooms.

“We will also have access to the full memberships offered there,” Clark said.

Construction crews have started building out Dentsu’s third-floor space, and the company will officially relocate from Fayetteville later this year or in early 2024.

According to Washington County property records, Garrison-Bradley LLC owns the 17,000-square-foot Fayetteville building at 2 North College. Dentsu is the sole tenant.

Clark, who’s been with the firm since 2010 and CEO since January 2018, said the relocation would better accommodate Dentsu’s 30 Northwest Arkansas employees. As other business leaders have discovered after the COVID-19 pandemic, she said workplace flexibility, remote and hybrid-remote work are now the norm.

“We’ve always got an ear to the ground for what our team needs to let creativity run free,” she said. “In the last year, there’s been a significant uptick in the desire for flexibility of hybrid work and collaboration spaces, and we believe the Ledger building will offer these options for how our ways of working are evolving.”

Clark said the space inside Ledger also puts the company closer to two of its most prominent clients in Bentonville — Walmart Inc. and Sam’s Club.

“It’s going to be a wonderful space once we get there,” said Clark, who was previously a senior member of Walmart’s corporate communications team and an officer of the company. “Fayetteville has been our physical home for more than 25 years, and many of us live here. But we do not see this as leaving because we have always considered all of Northwest Arkansas as our community.”

Elise Mitchell founded the company Mitchell Communications Group (MCG) in 1995. In 2012, Japanese marketing giant Dentsu bought the business for an undisclosed amount.

MCG shortened its name to Mitchell in 2015.
