Kansas City, Mo.-based TREKK Design Group, a women-owned civil engineering firm, opened a Bentonville office in the Beau Terre office park near Interstate 49 and Arkansas Highway 72.

Lisa Walters oversees the office, which has five employees. She joined the firm last year and has over 20 years of wastewater and civil engineering experience.

According to a news release, the Bentonville office focuses on civil and wastewater engineering and field services. The firm plans to add additional staff and expand its service offerings soon.

“An office in Northwest Arkansas has been in our sights since we began serving the market several years ago,” said Kimberly Robinett, TREKK’s CEO and managing partner. “With the tremendous growth and opportunity in the area, coupled with several of our staff already residing in the region, the timing felt right to put down roots in Bentonville. We look forward to bringing our holistic, commonsense solutions to the area.”

TREKK started in 2002 and has about 200 employees in nine offices in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and Tennessee.

TREKK is the second Missouri engineering firm to open a Bentonville office in Beau Terre this year, joining Joplin-based Allgeier, Martin and Associates (AMA).
